The Commission drives local and systemic solutions to barriers Coloradans face accessing the civil justice system. Through direct services, education, advocacy, and funding, we work to close the justice gap.
The Justice Gap is the divide between people’s everyday legal needs and the resources available for them to meet those needs. When left unaddressed, everyday legal issues directly threaten the most basic of human necessities like housing, family, food security, job security, safety, healthcare, and immigration status. But most people cannot afford an attorney.
Across sectors to evaluate needs and drive systemic solutions.
Through funding and advocacy.
Through coordination, education, and support.
With legal knowledge through technology and legal information.
Through partnerships and innovation.
